Minor Uprising pet peeve, but even when Newt is wearing long sleeved suits you should be able to see the tips of his tattoos at his wrists, so it makes it more obvious they lacked that attention to detail when they don’t apply the tattoos for scenes where he’s wearing long sleeves.

The thing is though, I double checked scenes in PacRim 1 too where he’s got the jacket on and they didn’t apply them then either as far as I could see so *shrug* it’s more a franchise flaw in general than just an Uprising thing.

But word from someone who has worn the tattoos in the right placement for a day: the Kaiju claws go out over the wrist, and the tips would be visible on the backs of his hands even with long sleeves like a jacket or a suit, unless that were really long sleeves that covered up to the base of the thumb.
