I have not seen one but I too am DESPERATELY curious if anyone out there knows. The two most popular explanations I’ve seen are 1) injury sustained at the Jaeger Academy or 2) MS, based on his obvious character references to Stephen Hawking. As I understand, Travis Beacham the screenwriter was always a bit vague on its source so there is no canon.
Anyone out there have a better explanation?
