the scene where hermann is throwing up has no right to make me emotional but it does i just love how newt gives herm his handkerchief right away thats really sweet and i could talk about that moment forever but at the same time hermann literally has his head in a toilet. so.
What makes me cry more is that Newt was probably still drifting with him and was able to figure out exactly what he needed and give it to him so he could feel better
Plus the fact that he manages to hold it until he finds a toilet, and the little endeared nod Newt does like he’s thinking ‘yeah makes sense, it’s Hermann’

As the precursors’ hold on Newt’s mind grows, they crash Newt’s evening with Hermann to see whether he will be able to spot the difference. Newt can only watch his boyfriend and his body interact, knowing this test cannot possibly end in a way that won’t hurt a whole lot. Pre-Uprising.

Really fucks me up that like,, after the precursors tried to get Newt to kill Hermann almost every single shot of Gottlieb is a Dutch angle from then on. Finding out the love of his life has been locked screaming in the back of his own head for ten years shakes him to the core so hard even the camera couldn’t be bothered to act straight

Say, “We should get married,” and then angrily spit in their face: “DO YOU CONCUR???”
Numbers do not lie. Politics and poetry, promises, these are lies. Numbers are as close as we get to the handwriting of god.
