“A leather jacket,” spluttered Hermann. The back of his neck felt very hot, and Newt’s fingers laced with his own helped little.
“Oh, yeah. Leather jacket, combat boots… I imagined us going out to a bar, and then some guy tries to pick a fight with me, but then you step in and suplex him into the bar with the power of math. And also your muscles.”
At 5.5k this chapter is slightly shorter than usual, but we are out of the thick of the Nightmare Action at last! Time for Hermann and Newt to recover and have a little chat about feelings. I’m excited about this chapter, but then again, I’m very excited about everything from here on out!
Not that I can think of from a *writing* standpoint, I don’t really try to emulate anything except the characters’ voices..
HOWEVER, there are so many inspirational fanfic writers I know and I’ve met through the AoS fandom

@apathbacktoyou‘s stuff always leaves me with a huge smile on my face and gets her characters JUST RIGHT.
@huntxngbxrd writes SO MUCH STUFF? She published like five fics in one day, like when would your fave ever?
@avelera‘s prose like changed my life in her fic ‘world enough and time’ … just, goals.
@sunalsolove … just wow, she writes the BEST longfics ever, her fic “Impossible” got every character so right, I literally felt like I was watching an episode of the show!
